About the Job

As our Lead web developer, you lead the successful completion of major projects by investigating, analyzing and resolving complex application problems; design and code and compile and test complex websites and applications; employ standards, security methods and tools related to building enterprise web applications.

You are expected to provide programming and project leadership and training to subordinate personnel; work with project management and leadership to provide time estimates and schedules for projects; communicate regularly with department management and functional users on project requirements, activities and status; lead technical reviews of feasibility studies, design documentation and validation reviews; and apply process management techniques to improve software engineering standards, processes and techniques.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develops and/or maintains a sustainable front-end framework and coordinates with other team members.
    • Partners with Technology personnel to develop creative marketing technology solutions in support of meeting client expectations.
    • Estimates timeline for assigned projects and ensures that work is completed with the estimate given.
    • Provides leadership in the development and implementation of short- and long-term technology plans and related policies and procedures.
    • Takes a lead role in establishing and implementing standards that will facilitate a quality IT infrastructure across Sekkei Studio and all clients.
    • Technical analysis, development, testing and deployment activities.
    • Reviews creative work and identifies issues with layout, consistency, browser compatibility, etc.

    Key Skills and Experience

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of PHP and front-end web development experience.
    • Experience with Drupal and WordPress mandatory and other PHP CMS appreciated.
    • Experience implementing custom, responsive designs.
    • Advanced site-building experience including deep familiarity with Drupal modules such as CTools, Views, Panels.
    • Object Oriented Programming and integrating API’s.
    • Reviews creative work and identifies issues with layout, consistency, browser compatibility, etc.
    • Can anticipate and independently provide solutions for complex problems and issues, recommending upgrades, enhancements, priorities and strategic technology directions based on independent research, consultation and analysis.
    • Possesses project management and leadership abilities.

    • Salary: Depending on experience
    • Benefits: Chinese holidays + 10 days of vacation for the 1st year, 15 days after the 1st year
